Finally plucked this one off NWI. Not nearly as awful as I expected but not v good especially with the hamfisted romantic subplot. Ugh I hate that shit. Yeah I get it; Shu Qi is fucking gorgeous and smart and all that but come on. So dumb.
The alien invasion stuff is decent albeit not all that interesting. I like the team of drone pilots and their camaraderie. Wish it had just stuck with that and kept Qi off to the side as the cool leader.
