Overview
Somewhere in Europe, mid-20th century. Albert is employed to look after Mia, a girl with teeth of ice. Mia never leaves their apartment, where the shutters are always closed. The telephone rings regularly and the Master enquires after Mia’s wellbeing. Until the day Albert is instructed that he must prepare the child to leave.

Viewing Notes
After our 2+ hour roundtrip to Aurora and back, we jetted over to Boulder for tacos at Torchy’s then this film at Dairy Center. Wasn’t planning on doing this one but since my other plans for TRR were scrapped from the Aurora trip I decided to go along to see this. I was initially hesitant only bc I heard it was a very slow film and it being a Friday night I wasn’t sure I’d stay awake or have the capacity to take it all in. Fortunately I stayed awake to absorb this very unusual movie. Not entirely sure what was happening but I dug it. Visually very cool, too. Plays like a slow burn Cronenberg flick.
