another overdue revisit since apparently the last time I viewed this was in 2012 via NWI. thanks to Eureka I could finally see the original HK cut in its original language. This movie is fire. Just bonkers filmmaking and stunts. My only nitpick is the contrivance of having Jackie’s character cross paths with May (Maggie Cheung) when she knows he’s on a serious undercover mission. It would be fine just have have them at the same place and using her to get at Jackie but the whole disbelief thing she does is dumb and unneeded.
I may watch the US cut later to compare.
