Viewing Notes

holy shit get this damn movie restored / rescanned / resubtitled and released on a loaded blu via 88 or Eureka or Arrow or or or whatever it takes. This would be a golden one to watch in the Secret Cinema. I’ve read others saying this stacks up to John Woo but I wouldn’t go that far… but it’s a helluva valiant attempt to match Woo. Plus features my second favorite Venom, Philip Kwok, who was also a beast in Woo’s Hard Boiled. Needed more Joey Wong, who has the thankless girlfriend role.

The version on Tubi sucks ass. Murky as hell with those shit subtitles that only work half the time. But it’s the only proper way to view this I guess.
