Had to buy a cheap used Blu since this isn’t streaming and the library only has dvd. Kinda surprised I’d only seen this once on release given how ridiculous and entertaining it is. I love Statham as the big bad but really don’t understand how he became a hero or got a redemption arc. He’s really evil in this. Love Tony Jaa, too.

Plenty of absurdity we’ve come to expect and yet that entire Abu Dhabi sequence is quite something. Cracks me up that we’re supposed to believe that Letty can take out the trained soldiers and MMA fighter? Never mind the car jumping from each building. James Wan was a great choice to direct this installment.

Super sad ending with the loss of Paul Walker but they should’ve just removed him and Mia and his family from all future installments. Make it a clean break if they didn’t want to kill off his character. That said there’s a lot of foreboding dialogue in this movie.
