Picked another favorite film for my bday week. Recently bought the DVD new bc there still is no Blu. I checked other countries in hopes maybe Spain or Germany would have one but nope. That sucks, too, bc this DVD doesn’t looks so great. It’s passable but definitely the PQ could be better.
Anyways, I love this movie and it’s my favorite from Bogliano. How it spirals downward as it develops sympathy for an awful protagonist is done so well. Still not entirely happy w/the ending ending when they take her off to the police station bc it shouldn’t take much to prove she didn’t commit the murder. Then again I wonder if the other reading is Marga is fucked up from eclipse and actually did do all of the weird shit and ritual sacrifice. hmmm
LOL my previous log from 9 years ago I mention the exact same things only a much longer essay. Even in my first viewing at FF2011 I note how much of this movie is anchored on Cristina Brondo’s performance. She’s definitely high on my list of terrible characters you still root for. She’s just so fucking good and I’m sad that none of her other films are available to view.
