Overview

After years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts. Their new friend April O’Neil helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.

Viewing Notes

Any movie that mentions Godzilla this much I’m gonna like. But to toss in a Shaw Brothers reference? Love. Plus the soundtrack is fire and the Reznor/Ross score is excellent. The messy animation style worked for me; feels v NYC much like the graffiti style of Spiderverse does.

The entire thing reminded me of my nephew and his track buddies. Kept thinking how much I’d love to take him to see this movie.
