Viewing Notes

Mostly surprised that Peckinpah didn’t direct a western until the early sixties and that this was his one. Solid premise that doesn’t overstay and just chugs along for a tidy ninety minutes. If this were remade today it would run over two hours and they do flashbacks of each character. Neat to see babyface Mariette Hartley in her first film. I know her most from tv commercials. Very recognizable face.
