Viewing Notes

Wanted to watch the sequel URBAN LEGENDS which I haven’t seen but figured I should probably revisit this. And I’ve been looking for it in all the thrifts and pawn shops but it never shows up anymore (there was a time when this title was everywhere but horror titles are not quite as prevalent as they used to be in these places). Blu-ray and dvd both more than I wanna pay online so stuck with Tubi. Fwiw the PQ on Tubi is v good and likely way better than the dvd.

The movie is still a solid 90s era slasher with a terrific cast; Jared Leto is channeling Jeffrey Combs and I love it. I still don’t believe the killer could pull off half the stuff they do esp. towards the end but doesn’t detract from a fun whodunnit.

There are some annoying things like the dumb way Brad Dourif’s character tries to alert the girl or the fact that school resumes as normal despite the murders / deaths — and no mention that when your roommate dies you get a free pass semester (or maybe they didn’t bother to research that or in Canada they don’t offer that?!).

Whatever. I focus too much on the details. I know I know
