Viewing Notes

First time viewing on the big screen and it was amazing. Excellent introduction by a geology professor who just knew a shit ton about Hong Kong especially during the period of this film. Was also rather sad and poignant. One of the better intros I’ve heard at IFS. Really set up the film perfectly.

Afterwards walked out to a blizzard with 4” of snow on the ground (and my car). There was no snow when I walked into Muenzinger Auditorium two hours prior. Drive home was terrible and took a long time. Had I known I wouldn’t have gone to the screening. I didn’t get any notification until sometime during the movie that there was an active snowstorm. :-/
