Viewing Notes

made sense to follow up Stallone’s favorite film, LION IN WINTER, with one of his movies where he stars and directs. All I remembered about this was how graphic the violence was and boy it’s even more graphic than I recalled. Damn, it’s like eurohorror or Korean action levels of gore. I’m still not keen on the story and the action isn’t nearly as fun or clever as the previous 3 films but I like Stallone basically turning into a monolithic grump.

This was the 4K UHD extended cut but I couldn’t say what any of the differences are since I only vaguely remembered the premise and violence from when it was released.
