Viewing Notes

Happy 52nd anniversary to this movie! Busted out the Kraken Releasing Blu since it has the English dub which is inexplicably missing from the Criterion release. I love the English dub and the voice actors, who did many of the Shaw dubs. My favorite line is when Gengo calls his girlfriend a “hard bitch” which is so weird for a Showa Godzilla film. And Tomoko replies, “what’s that, would you say that again?” And he mumbles “no I won’t, not with you being a black belt in karate.” And she’s just trying to help him get a job doing what he loves!

Anyways I’ve grown to love this movie and all its weirdness. The friendship between Anguirus and Godzilla is awesome especially when they talk to each other haha
