Viewing Notes
This is a really good movie starring two of my faves in a crazy cat and mouse thriller but it also has a plot device I hate regardless of how effective it is. And yes, it is effective here and I got a little emotional. But I hate it.
Both Hwang Jung-min and Lee Jung-jae are perfect in their roles, both bad guys who do bad things. One of the reasons why I chose to view this is that I haven’t seen a Hwang Jung-min film in almost 5 years and I loved watching him on the regular. When I looked at his filmography it was clear as to why; he’s a big enough star that his films would regularly play at the Niles AMC. The last film of his I saw was in 2019. This movie was released in 2020 during the pandemic and since then I moved to Colorado. So yeah haven’t seen any of this movies for about 5 years.
Of the 11 films of his I’ve seen this is only the second one I didn’t see in theater.
