Overview
After his wife is murdered and his son kidnapped, a gangster is forced to betray his best friend who is also a deadly killer, in this raucous, off-the-wall satire that is to action films what Scream (1996) is to horror movies.

I own this! Always planned to watch it but like so many other films I picked up 15+ years ago they got lost in time. I believe this was the tenth feature film in the marathon.
I love this movie, which is also very much a Justin DeCloux kind of flick. As an intentional tribute and homage to HK action films as well as a spoof on DTV action films, it succeeds. Eric Thornett, who was DP/action director and in the cast as Psycho Bowtie, joined the chatroom to share BTS factoids about making the movie in the late nineties. Lots of cool info shared. The budget started at $6K but ballooned up to a whopping $25K by the end. LOL
The masks were cast from figures in the History Museum and it was Eric’s idea to use masks bc they had a small cast.
Anyways, it was fun to watch this and get some info about the movie.
