When a prison transport is attacked, dangerous criminals escape, plunging the city into chaos. Viewing Notes
The real crime is that this movie has not gotten a proper BD release domestically, which is so frickin’ weird given everything else that Well Go USA picks up for release. I’m sure there’s some stupid reason for this. the stream from dailymotion is okay to watch on my macbook but the audio is shit.
Anyways, this is on my short list for a movie night provided I can get an import BD from China. Wouldn’t call it the best of this sub-genre (assembling a team of convicts to take on bigger bad guys, here it’s yakuza) it’s still quite entertaining. In line with THE THIEVES, which I brought to movie night previously. And tbh watching Ma Dong-seok (Don Lee) punch dudes through walls is entertainment by itself.
They set up a sequel and now I am sad bc I assume it shelved or just dead in the water from the pandemic time.
