Early Access screening in the IMAX theater, which I initially wondered about bc it’s not an IMAX film. Then I realized it’s the largest theater capacity at Promenade and made sense for a one night only screening. And the theater was packed, which was surprising to see. But also nice to see a large crowd come out for a subtitled Korean film.
The movie is fun, slight, yet entertaining for the story and cast. A good one to watch with a big audience. Was happy when Oh Dal-soo shows up, a favorite character actor. Very much a Park Chan-wook dark comedy!
Great to see Son Ye-jin again. Hard to believe it’s been 11 years since The Pirates was released (she’s so good in that movie).
