Only three years to get a US release… and an Americanized version. Would love to see the original language version someday. Fun flick.

6/23/21 Update: just found the ticket stub randomly in my stuff. This was a General Cinema before it was bought by AMC. Also I had the date wrong by one day; I saw this Friday night of 5/14/99 9:40pm showing and paid $8. I believe this was opening night.
