Overview
The erotic novelist Taeko is writing a morbid story of a family destroyed by incest, murder and abuse. Her assistant, Yuji, sets on a mission to uncover the reality of this story, but the reality might be too much to bear.

I’m not too well versed in Sono’s work, but this is another pretty great entry into the small batch of his films that I’ve seen. Full of some great imagery and a twisted tale. Definitely need to check out more of his work. Though I’m not sure I’m up to the 4-hour saga that is LOVE EXPOSURE.

I’ll definitely revisit this one when I’m in a better mindset to appreciate it more. Sono clearly loves to play within the disjointed family motif and I like most of his recent work. I have a few more of his new films so I’m planning a mini-project to dive into them.
