Overview
The erotic novelist Taeko is writing a morbid story of a family destroyed by incest, murder and abuse. Her assistant, Yuji, sets on a mission to uncover the reality of this story, but the reality might be too much to bear.

I think I’ve reached my breaking point w/these disturbing and fucked up Japanese psycho-sexual horror thrillers. case in point: Strange Circus. Not that this is a bad film but sometimes I wonder what’s the point. I can only take so much of father raping the daughter/scarification psychological mumbo jumbo. That said, Sion Sono does make compelling films. I’m sure I’ll revisit when I’m ready.

This has been on my to-watch list for some time now. Maybe I’ll get to it sooner rather than later. I haven’t seen much of Sono’s work either.
