Similar in tone and pace to Reichardt’s Wendy and Lucy or Meek’s Cutoff, but with an undercurrent of tension and the threat of violence. I liked it but, much like Meek’s Cutoff, it’s not going to be for everyone.
Seen at Sie Film Center with the family as my pick of what I wanted to do for Father’s Day.

I’ve been debating on seeing this at MBT, whether it was worth the trip. Sounds like I’d dig it since i really like Meek’s Cutoff. They’ve been showing the trailer in front of all their screenings and it looks good.

If you liked Meek’s Cutoff or Wendy and Lucy, I think you’d like it. Definitely has that downbeat, even rhythm to it. This is the second indie movie I’ve seen with Eisenberg in it in a month. Weird!
