A late, sleepless night on the couch dealing with massive back pain felt like the right time to revisit one of my favorite movies of 2014. I did drift in and out a bit but this film is just as unrelentingly astonishing as the first time I watched it. I did “get” parts of it that escaped me before. For instance I somehow missed the girl at the very beginning crying (or really, the significance of it).
I’m still absolutely shocked that this movie EVER played in regular first-run theaters around the Denver/Boulder area. That would be like going to the multiplex to see Enter The Void!
