Surprised and happy this actually made it into theaters so I decided to see it again to support the release (and to see if I liked it more/less than when I saw it on the festival circuit). I didn’t realize this was a Hammer Films release.
Despite knowing the trajectory of the story this time around, I think I liked it more. Silverstone’s short role is still a standout. Keough is amazing as well. There were small things I missed the first time that I caught this time around (snow angels reference for one).
Decent but not large crowd for our screening, and everyone was super quiet.

Glad you had a good crowd! I had to move to another row to get further away from some talkers. Like they were were just talking having a conversation ongoing. So weird.
I think I enjoyed it more tho “enjoyed” probably isn’t the correct term b/c I was so angry for 2/3 of the movie. When you know what’s going on the kids become even worse. Also the shot of the gun is like the second shot in the film which was a nice touch that went right by on my first viewing. There’s a lot of neat details throughout. Has me wanting to view Goodnight Mommy again.
