Bleaker than I remembered which sets it apart from other adventure movies in that nothing turns out well in this one. It’s always fun to see Cushing and Lee together in non-horror films.
I really liked Rosenda Monteros, the actress who played Ustane. She had a pretty long career, mostly in Mexican TV series, but she was also in THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN.

This was the first Warner Archive DVD I bought when they originally started that program. I still haven’t watched it! Pathetic.

Ah, you should! I actually liked it more than I remembered, probably because it’s more pessimistic than these movies usually end up being, which was a nice change of pace.
