I bought this on a whim from Panorama when I ordered THE TRAIL; I’d seen the original anime many years ago but never the live-action version. From what little I remember of the anime this felt very different so I’m guessing it doesn’t follow much of the same plot.
This is a weird blend of neon-noir, ‘90s sci-fi, practical and digital FX and it’s a mixed bag to be sure, but the kind of trashy, doesn’t always make sense nonsense I was expecting so I still enjoyed it. I need to do another watch of this when I’m not as tired though. And I need to revisit the anime.

The print isn’t the best, lots of defects and lines in it, but not terrible at all.
