Viewing Notes

Fun but a bit of a missed opportunity to really have Mecha Kong and King Kong really throw down on a serious miniatures set ala Godzilla. I love the Mecha Kong design and owned a chogokin of him at one point! I have no recollection of watching this as part of G-Fest strangely enough, so it was like a first time watch.

I thought I recognized Mie Hama who plays Madame X in this and sure enough she was Kissy Suzuki in YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE which came out the same year.

Also featuring the great Hideyo Amamoto who’s been in a ton of stuff but I instantly recognized him from his appearances in the KAMEN RIDER TV show. He also played the witch in THE LOST WORLD OF SINBAD!

Hideyo Amamoto is in so many Toho films and I love him every time he pops up! I did not know he was in Kamen Rider! I will have to watch those eps now.
