Also known as TRIAD UNDERWORLD. I don’t know why this is included on the same disc as ELECTION and ELECTION II (which have been renamed on the disc as TRIAD and TRIAD ELECTION to make it into a TRIAD trilogy) as it’s completely unrelated in every way except thematically (and actually came out before the other two).

Its style is radically different, with some weird stutter editing during many of the pan/tracking/dolly shots that’s distracting, but otherwise I dug it.

You do need to pay attention because there are two stories going on here and it gradually dawns on you that one may be a flashback (but is it?). It’s a really deft bit of storytelling.
