Viewing Notes

What even is this movie? It goes in multiple different directions, kills off the most likeable protagonists and barely shows the dinosaurs until the end, and then you wish it didn’t. There are some fun death scenes here and there but the rest is just a mix of mediocrity.

Seem to recall mentioning how awful this movie was when I saw it in your to-watch pile. Given the title and premise it’s inexplicable how bad (boring) this movie is.

You did and it was! It’s kind of amazing given that the Japanese film industry has an amazing history of giant monster films AND disaster films, and yet, this thing which very anemically blends both, is almost unwatchable.
