Viewing Notes

This has a huge ensemble cast and is based on (part of) an epic historical novel that itself chronicles real events from the 12th century (The Water Margin was written in the 14th century).  It’s got an odd mix of classic and rock music in it which is weird but also works for some reason. The cast is crazy! So much so that they continually do on-screen text throughout the film introducing the actor and who they play. It’s been a good while since I last saw this.
