I like to see what comes on next on the channel after The Last Drive-In because it often fits thematically or tonally with whatever was played by Joe Bob. True to form they played this low budget ‘80s sci-fi/horror film that I’d never seen before so I stayed up to watch it. Turns out it’s pretty great with some amazing creature and practical effects. The kills are pretty graphic and gory and who gets killed is kind of unexpected. Pretty fun! The only downside is it’s a cropped 4x3 ratio. I’d love to see a restoration in its original aspect ratio on Blu-ray from a boutique label if that’s even possible.
