Viewing Notes
A commanding performance by Harumi Inoue in the lead role really drives this unusual rape/revenge thriller. Everything is considered from the victim’s perspective and it takes time and care to show her unraveling in a sympathetic, non-exploitative way. The first time I watched this was over 20 years ago, so it felt pretty new.
