Violent City, aka The Family, isn’t Bronson’s best, but it did hold my interest.
Like The Mechanic, Violent City is pretty cynical in it’s take on humanity: no one can be trusted, everyone is a double crossing bastard. Jill Ireland, Bronson’s real life wife, is gorgeous in this.
Though it’s slow at times, and some of the edits seem to leave out crucial information, it’s still a decent watch.

Wish I had seen this post before I ordered the crummy VHS. My own search to find this movie failed. Could have bought the Blue Underground release for roughly the same price. I may still do that because I dig the film enough and want to see a better presentation of it. Agreed about Ireland; she looks amazing in this.
