Viewing Notes

Rushed down to Logan after the last CCFF screening and made it in time to see most of the VanBebber’s GATOR GREEN short he finished recently. Wow that’s a trip. But something I’d love to see in a full feature form. Next was this film which is getting released on BR/DVD. And it’s pretty much exactly as I expected; a more violent retelling of the Manson story from the POV of his followers. Wouldn’t classify this as a great movie or even a good movie but it is a fascinating watch albeit a tedious viewing at times but worth viewing. VanBebber as a true independent exploitation filmmaker is a marvel to behold.

You’ve been a crazed person on the in-theater stuff! So much going on in Chicago this year, sad I’m missing so much of it.

Yeah, it’s insane the amount of screenings happening around town. Easy to get burned out but some of them have been so great it keeps me going. I’m sad you’re not here to experience some of it.
