Viewing Notes

So yeah this is kinda great. Not exceptional but terrific camera work and angles for a neo-giallo look and feel. Nice score as well. Wish I had seen this before The Strange Colour of Your Body’s Tears because hard not to compare the two and this one lays the foundation but isn’t at the height of Strange Colour.

Also watched all 5 short films that Cattet/Forzani made leading up to AMER. All were good and worth viewing. Interesting to see their process and progression as they get more skilled. I’m debating on buying the Blu mostly in hopes of a better, crisper transfer.

Really looking forward to seeing this. I might buy the Blu sight unseen just because I love Colour so much. I think all five of their shorts are in TMDb as well if you want to log them.

Yes, you definitely need to see this movie. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed if you blind buy the Blu. I know Deep Discount had all the Olive titles on sale this past week otherwise they are pretty pricey.

I noticed the short films were listed but I’m trying to avoid listing short films this year to have a better handle on just the feature films I’ve seen (I don’t count shorts in my overall tally). I think I’ve only added one this year which is easier to remember.

Yeah, I figured as much on the shorts, just thought I’d mention it just in case!
