THE BEST STAR WARS PREQUEL YET.
Can’t help but draw comparisons with the fantasy/sci-fi heavy battle in Asgard. Probably the thing that impressed me the most is that for like the first 30-40 minutes or so, I was so not into this movie. It was fine but not very interesting. But something happened, not sure what, when I slowly got on the Thor bus.
The emotional centerpiece really got to me as well, which even I thought was weird as it was happening. Didn’t expect that. Or all the comedy beats. Sure, some but this is riddled with them. As a sequel I think it does improve on the first film. I’m curious how the Jane Foster thing will play out in subsequent films.
Oh yeah The Collector? Hahahahahaha. That’s rich.
I’m still miffed there wasn’t a folk metal theme for the Dark Elves. Missed opportunity, Marvel.

Heh, felt pretty much the same way! I left a fan. Definite improvement over the first movie and probably pretty accessible for non-comic/Marvel people too. I thought the comedic stuff was really well handled and the emotional stuff definitely hit the mark. Definitely a superhero movie for the masses.
