Scientists surgically transform the Creature into an air-breather, but being able to live on land is not enough to make him comfortable with humans. Enraged, he turns his wrath on anyone who comes near as he desperately tries to return to the deep-water world where he truly belongs.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen this in it’s entirety. I know I’ve seen portions of it before (probably on AMC or TCM) but never the whole thing. I should probably fix that.

I’ve had the Creature legacy set forever but have held off on viewing this one b/c it made me so sad as a child. Since I added it to my childhood movies project I had to view it again sometime. It’s a good movie (better than Revenge of the Creature) but so tragic.

So I finally watched this five years later and agree. In fact, you pretty much root for the creature in all three films, but moreso in the last two.

yep! Probably why Gillman is my favorite UniMonster as he’s the one I sympathize with the most thru his films. In addition to being an excellent monster and creature design.

So I saw some test color stills of the creature costume as they were originally intending to film it in color (with two strip tinted blue for the underwater scenes) and it really looks outstanding in color too!
