Wow. Gordon Liu is sharp as a tack. I mean goddamn is he so great here. Three scenes really stand out: the lute fight with Kara Hui, the wine tasting, and antique dealer. Such subtile kung fu moves that act more like dialogue or dancing.
Had always heard about the greatness of this movie and now I know why. Also Gordon Liu is hilarious with his little mustache and wise cracks. Wong Yu is fun as well but it’s gotta be just as hard to pretend not to be good at kung fu as it is to nail all those moves. Terrific training montage with those two and the subsequent baby cart battle.
Super fun final fight between them and Lo Lieh. Hysterical freeze scene cut to “Another Shaw Production”. Recorded from the El Rey Network so dubbed and full of commercials but really glad they aired this. I need to find this on DVD. You could teach clinics with this movie.

Creating an event is the best way to track these for now. You could also just tag them all the same. When I finish work on it, you’ll be able to create your own stats on just about anything, meaning you could just show a list of all movies tagged “100kungfu”, etc.

I thought about the tagging them that way but didn’t want to create another tag that was unique to only me. I don’t mind having the event. It seems fine for now (except for that pesky total count not including repeat titles).

Yeah, I’ll get the count thing fixed. I thought I had already. Might be a regression bug.
