Continuing my Eric Roberts right hector with his climatic adaptation of the Dorothy Stratton story. Didn’t realize they made more than one movie about this true crime story. ER is great in this.
*ahem*
let’s try this again: continuing my Eric Roberts’ project with this cinematic adaptation of the tragic Dorothy Stratten story (based on the “Death of a Centerfold” piece in the Village Voice). The previous film was a telefilm and that’s the one I always remember bc it features Jamie Lee Curtis and Robert Reed.
This adaptation is really good bc of Eric Roberts. He’s the character that steals every scene yet you don’t know what he’s gonna do next. Like an accident waiting to happen (of course, inferred by the character he’s portraying). I still haven’t seen a few of ER’s more famous film roles but I’d still say this one is one of his best performances.

I’ve been meaning to revisit this even before seeing ER at Cinepocalypse. I should watch it soon.

Wow I just noticed my notes, typed from my phone, make no sense… “Eric Roberts right hector with his climatic adaptation” huh?
Yeah he’s a force in this. Super creepy and slimy. I only heard of this movie but didn’t know it was about Dorothy Stratten.

I wondered about that but I was also sick and in no state to judge!
