Chad Buckley is super crazy about horror movies, but also very lonely. He mostly spends his days in his small movie shop having wild discussions with his only returning customer, Sam.

Fun! Not a big budget movie but still a bigger budget than a lot of the films screened at Nightmares Film Fest. Certainly all the money spent you can see on screen. Really terrific FX and amusing spins on horror tropes.
Picked up by Shudder for 2020 release.

I heard good things but couldn’t fit it in at Telluride Horror Show.

It’s really fun that leans more comedy than horror. I spoke with Aaron Koontz who developed the concept and directed one of the segments to get more insight. It was originally gonna be called “Tropes” b/c it’s choke full of all the tropes you’d see in horror movies but played for humor. Told him that it was a good decision to go w/Scare Package. The FX are most impressive even when the segments don’t always work. I think I’ll enjoy the movie more on a subsequent viewing but it was a lot of fun to watch with a big crowd.
