Overview

Near the end of World War II, the survivors of a torpedoed hospital ship cling to life aboard a crowded lifeboat. With no food, water, or shelter, all seems lost – until an eerily silent German minesweeper drifts ominously towards them, giving them one last chance at survival. As our motley crew explores the ship, it becomes all too clear that some diabolical fate has befallen its German crew. The mystery only deepens when they encounter a young Romanian girl, apparently the sole survivor, who leads them to a locked room in the bowels of the vessel.

Viewing Notes

I LOVE WEIRD NAZI OCCULT SHIT.

This has nothing on OVERLORD but I appreciate the attempt. Wish it wasn’t so damn dark (not the story rather the lighting; very hard too see what is happening)! Takes half the runtime to get going but an entertaining second half makes up for it. Wish the male grooming adhered to period; I don’t think any US soldiers had goatees during WWII. Pretty sure no nazi soldier had facial hair. Ron can correct me if I’m wrong.

FWIW I was not on the side of the soldiers or the nazis. :)

I may watch this again if I have time.

The only facial hair on U.S. soldiers during WWII would’ve been on marines in the Pacific theater (Merrill’s Marauders in the jungles of Burma, etc.) and certainly not a goatee! And yeah, no nazis with facial hair from WWII that I’ve ever seen pictures of. Gotta imagine military code on both sides wouldn’t have allowed that.

I’ll have to give this a watch!

Yeah I figured you’d know better! I don’t mind little slip ups on occasion but that one just seems so easy to prep for when making a war movie.

Try this code in your Vimeo app: BloodVessel2020

It gave me a free rental for a week. But not sure how many are remaining to use. You can plug in the code to unlock the rental then watch whenever. I watched via the Vimeo app on Roku.
