Found my old Universe dvd while unpacking movies so decided to throw it on in anticipation of the eventual restored and upgraded release early next year. This movie is a blast and Michelle Yeoh is dynamite. As soon as Michael Wong appears I LOL’d. I wonder if Lau Kar-leung watched this and said “we can make a way more insane chainsaw fight that this!” when they were shooting TIGER ON THE BEAT.
Wasn’t until the 17 minute mark that I realized that was our awesome Hiroyuki Sanada. He looks so different here even compared to his earlier films. But a huge bonus having him in this.
I almost cried when I saw Jumbo Kingdom restaurant. RIP

I’m definitely looking forward to revisiting all of these when Eureka’s Michelle Yeoh releases drop over the next year!
