Overview

While staying at an isolated island resort, James and Em are enjoying a perfect vacation of pristine beaches, exceptional staff, and soaking up the sun. But guided by the seductive and mysterious Gabi, they venture outside the resort grounds and find themselves in a culture filled with violence, hedonism, and untold horror. A tragic accident leaves them facing a zero tolerance policy for crime: either you’ll be executed, or, if you’re rich enough to afford it, you can watch yourself die instead.

Doing the $5.95 Tuesday bc the time was ideal. Popcorn is half off and I wish didn’t buy it. Some old on his phone for most of 20 minutes he was there got up and left. Just me and one other dude.

Sliding into the third slot of the recent “eat the rich” triple feature (along with Triangle of Sadness and The Menu) albeit with an even more fucked up angle on the social commentary and classism. So captivating and anxiety inducing. Enjoyed not knowing where it was going and being surprised along the way. Love those masks and want the entire collection to display in my home.
