Was persuaded by Jayson Kennedy to watch the unrated version bc he said it was better. Picked it up for 6$ used and it arrived yesterday.

I didn’t have much of a recollection of the film other than the leads and that I was lukewarm on the story. Couldn’t say what the differences are other than the runtime being 10 minutes longer* but this is a fun movie. Love all the creature design and weapon design. Solid action plus Gemma Arterton. She’s awesome. Mad respect for Wirkola’s confidence to put Famke Janssen in witch makeup and prosthetics for most of her scenes.

The making-of featurette is great. Everyone really seemed to enjoy making this movie. Very sad they didn’t make a sequel.
