Viewing Notes

First time viewing on Blu-ray and it looks like garbage! Shocking to see how bad the PQ is for a lot of the runtime. Some spots look good but this isn’t a version I want to watch again. Need to check the 4K UHD prices.

Forgot that I saw this in theater almost 4 years ago during my move to Colorado. Oddly my notes were not positive. On this visit it was a very nice curl up on the couch revisit. Just perfect and funny and epic. Boromir’s redemption just crushed me. It’s the best sequence of the film.

Gavin and I started the new year off with this movie as well, but in 4K, which looked great!

Reminds me, I need to keep an eye on the 4K trilogy set price. Seems to be $55 across the board.
