Sunday afternoon kung fu:
Not sure why I gave this a 7.5 last time. If I could watch a better version instead of the awful looking DVD, my rating might go up. Yuen Woo-ping did the action direction. It’s decent for one of his early works.
The story is the classic “hero retires to the rural countryside for a quiet life but gets pulled back in and seeks revenge.”
Also notable for early roles of Jackie Chan and Yuen Wah, both who I didn’t even see. Super murky dark transfer didn’t help. Wonder what the streaming transfer looks like given it’s on a few different freemium platforms.
