Viewing Notes
Fun, stylish pulpy neo-noir in sun-baked Bakersfield with Qualley as the female Philip Marlowe (Phyllis Marlowe?) that plays loosely with that premise. It doesn’t quite stick together like a taunt film noir but the entertaining cast goes a long way to make it enjoyable… sans Charlie Day.
About the same level as Drive Away Dolls, which isn’t bad thing!
