Overview
Sean Barker became the unwilling host to an alien bio-armor known as the Guyver. A year ago he destroyed the Kronos Corporation, an organization of mutants who want the Guyver. Now he is trying to find why the Guyver unit forces him to fight and kill evil.

8th slot but 7th feature film since this movie followed the TV series “I AM DEAD!”
For his 24hr horror movie mind melter, Justin created a new edit called “Guyver: Hyper Dark Hero Megamix” where he cut this down to mostly action and the story beats needed to carry it to the end plus added scenes from the anime where appropriate. WAY BETTER than the original cut. So much leaner and meaner and funner… er, more fun.
I often note on movies I log that I wish I had an editing bay to trim movies to a tighter cut to improve the experience. Justin did just that and it is so much better. I’d view this version regularly bc there is so much to love and appreciate. The Koichi Sakamoto fight choreography + Wang’s amazing tokusatsu monster suits. Beautiful stuff.
side note as I’m recalling the viewing: man, some real fucking dummies join these live streams. holy shit i wonder how some of them get thru their daily lives.
