Jin bei tong opens with a group of escort guards preparing to move a shipment of gold from the local government to an area stricken by famine… one of the very few Venom films where all six Venom actors are present within a single film.

A great “five deadly venoms” film, perhaps one of Chang Cheh’s best. I lamented that the stunningly beautiful Leng Feng, played by Helen Poon, didn’t have more action scenes. She lights up the screen when she’s on.
Aside from that it’s hard to find any fault with this martial arts classic.

Such an amazing film and definitely a new discovery flick for 2013. Was so happy we were treated to a rare 35mm print via CCS @ Portage. Glad that it’s available on DVD b/c it’s def one I want to revisit.

I’d love to see many of these Shaw Brothers flicks in 35mm!
