Viewing Notes
The actors and conflict carry this one over the kind of ridiculous plotting of melon farm and hired labor wars. Bronson is pretty terrific and takes his melons seriously. But I couldn’t help but laugh when an entire crop of harvested watermelons gets slaughtered.

I thought I’d seen this but I’m pretty sure I’ve never watched a movie starring Charles Bronson as a watermelon farmer!

The melon farmer thing is kinda hilarious given the story and makes it hard to buy at times… esp. during a scene when a load of melons is destroyed in a long gunfire sequence. But I give Fleischer and Bronson credit for taking the material seriously.
