Viewing Notes

I like the idea of the three heroes coming together but a missed opportunity not having them all fight in one super brawl. Comes close near the end with two of them but was hoping for that big payoff. Still a solid early Shaw Brothers flick that doesn’t feel as old as it is (mid 60s vs mid 70s). Lieh Lo looks the same here as he did in the 70s!

The drama is good with each hero having their own sub-plot. Could’ve used some editing to tighten it up a bit but doesn’t detract. I could see this story being remade.

It’s the typical convoluted plot but interested to see what you thought of this one.

I like it a lot. A little longer than it needs to be but quite enjoyable for the three heroes. Wish they had more team-up scenes in those battles. I’m sure that would have harder to choreograph back then. By the 70s they had that figured out.

Yeah, it’s interesting to watch the evolution of the Shaw Brothers martial arts films over the decades.
