Overview
Henry Brogan is an elite 51-year-old assassin who’s ready to call it quits after completing his 72nd job. His plans get turned upside down when he becomes the target of a mysterious operative who can seemingly predict his every move. To his horror, Brogan soon learns that the man who’s trying to kill him is a younger, faster, cloned version of himself.

Viewing Notes
3D+ HFR (60fps). Decided against doing the 120fps bc I didn’t feel like driving 20 miles north.
I really like this movie but the HFR can take a hike. Looks like a daytime soap opera with sick action beats. And bc of that it looks cheap. I’m going to go again in a standard showing so I can appreciate it more.
Also MEW!! She needs to be in everything.

I wanted to do the HFR even tho I knew I wasn’t gonna like it. Mainly wanted to see it given that’s how Ang Lee wanted it presented (and I haven’t seen any other film using HFR). It was as I expected and very distracting. It’s odd to me that any seasoned filmmaker would want their movies to look like this.
I didn’t know MEW was in the movie was it was a pleasant surprise when she appears early on then even better when she kicks ass but yeah didn’t give her much to do after that.
